Ontario invested in wind as an “early adopter” of the technology and paid a premium to get renewables onto the system before it was cost effective. That is what drove prices up. Wind is now the cheapest source of energy.

Like any other new technology, it’s expensive when it’s new but it matures and gets better and cheaper and that’s what has happened with wind. It now makes good financial sense to invest in wind and we will also have the means to store it before it comes online.

The world knows about this. The markets and the experts know about this. Wind is inexpensive and 2019 is the time to plan investments in it. Have a look…
