Supplying energy is new for SJE. What steps were taken to allow this?

We have been exploring options to diversify our electricity mix by providing more local, renewable energy to our customers for over a decade now.

We have conducted a number of internal and external feasibility studies related to this project starting with wind data collection, wind data and site assessment, wind energy evaluations, business case reviews, engineering studies including environmental feasibility, distribution interconnection studies, and regulatory assessments.

We have five years of wind data from the site, which supports development in the area. The next step is to partner with a wind energy expert to build this project.
