We care about the community we serve. In no year was this most evident than 2020, when all of us were confronted with a pandemic that brought with it plenty of fear and uncertainty.

For the people of Saint John Energy, instinct kicked in. Our crews went out to inspect and harden service to hospitals, our customer service agents helped residents who had just lost their jobs and were worried about paying their bills, our office staff hustled to transform us into a 24/7 remote workplace in under eight hours.

Saint John Energy initiated a robust financial and operational review in response to the uncertainty that lay ahead. We ended the year in a strong financial position.

This report underscores the importance of having a locally owned utility in the city to focus on empowering our customers, to lead us to a low-carbon future, to drive change on our roadways, to support innovation in New Brunswick, and to give back to our community.
